Latest, best organic soil amendments and organic fertilizer
Jon Dunn likes to dig deep to help his customers: American farmers.
When Dunn, the founder and president of USA-Grow, surveys a farming spread, he's looking for signs of what that soil has, and what it needs. When he reviews soil samples with farmers, Dunn is considering their profits, not his own."Everywhere else I've worked, they were all about the dollars: How much can I sell? But Jon is different," says Dunn's office manager, Rose McEndaffer.
"He believes he has an obligation to help keep farmers in business. If after evaluation they find the farmer doesn't need the fertilizer or soil amendments we sell, Jon will help them find what they are looking for rather than make a quick sale."
Farmers demand organic soil amendments and organic fertilizer
Dunn is a product of the farming life, and has spent many years farming and working with agriculture all over the United States.
USA-Grow's ("USA" stands for Universal Soil Amendments) bio-organic soil amendments and fertilizer products now bring in annual revenue of $1.5 million. While the company's primary sales turf is the central and western United States, USA-Grow's distributors sell the company's soil products and fertilizer to farmers from coast to coast, and are branching out internationally.Soil amendment products include:
- USA-3, USA-Grow's signature organic nitrogen fertilizer, a bio-stimulant for productive soil
- Distilled White Vinegar Concentrate, a product approved by the Organic Materials Review Institute for use in organic farming
- USA-OR-Bio, a soil bio-stimulant
- USA-OR-M, a bio-stimulant and micro-nutrient
- Other organic fertilizers and organic soil amendments
USA-Grow dedicated to supporting organic farmers
Soil bio-stimulants and organic fertilizer products are just one part of the service USA-Grow offers to farmers. The company draws upon more than a century of farming experience to offer farmers consultations on soil balance, vitality, amendments and fertilizer. USA-Grow's owners are candid with farmers about recommending other products that might be better suited to a specific farming plot than their own products.
"Jon, and others here all understand farming," says McEndaffer. "We’ve grown up on the farm and share an understanding of what is needed to make it work. We sell the correct product that farmers need. If our product doesn’t fit your farm, we won’t push it on you. Because if we can’t keep the farmer on the farm, then we all lose one of the world's oldest and most valuable institutions: the American farmer feeding the world, one acre at a time."
